On Friday, February 20, 2009, join us as we celebrate 40 years as a zoo. It's also our 55th anniversary open to the public and 90th as a botanical garden!

Discover a delightful evening with delicious food and beverages, live entertainment, dancing in the starlight beneath the canopy of historic trees, a live auction, and wildlife experiences that could only be offered at Naples Zoo.

Plus, enjoy meeting Jim Fowler, international animal expert from Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.
Funds raised from this event support the ongoing programs and exhibits in Naples Zoo!


ZOObilee 2008 was a sell out event. 2009 promises to do so again as tickets are once again reasonably priced at $150. To enjoy the Patron Event the night before with Jim Fowler, tickets are just $250 and include a ZOObilee ticket as well.

February 19
Patron Event Itinerary: 7 to 9 p.m.
at Naples Luxury Imports

Explore Naples Luxury Imports stunning new facility while mingling and enjoying a cocktail reception and passed hors d'oeuvres by CaterMasters, Inc. and Cinderella Service. At 8 p.m. Jim Fowler and David Tetzlaff will make a special presentation followed by a fun meet and greet with both Jim and David.Festive cocktail attire is suggested this indoor event.

Menu: Shot Glass of Lobster Bisque, Lamb Cutlets, Coconut Shrimp with Mango Chutney, Crab and Boursin Parcels wrapped in Puff Pastry, Duck Spring Rolls with Plum Sauce, and Seared Beef Tenderloin with a Blue Cheese Fondue. Desserts feature Fruit Tarts, Chocolate Mousse with Toasted Marshmallow, Homemade Shortbread Cookies, and Chocolate Covered  Strawberries.

February 20
ZOObilee Itinerary: 7 to 11 p.m.
at Naples Zoo

Amid the sounds of live entertainment, enter the historic garden. Wander the path past the National Wildlife Federation certified Backyard Wildlife Habitat on your way to Rainforest Grove where music and beverages await.

Meet our professional keepers and their wild friends along the way. Between Malayan tigers and African lions, view a wild selection of silent auction items while enjoying festive beverages.

Best of all, Shula's Steak House is back for an encore performance of last year's much raved about cuisine. Delight in a delicious dinner-by-the-bite while meeting Executive Director David Tetzlaff and some of his wild friends near RainForest Grove.

Jim Fowler will receive the inaugurual Lawrence and Nancy Jane Tetzlaff Distinguished Conservation Award during the event emceed by FOX 4 anchor Amy Sedlacek. Immediately following, Naples Mayor Bill Barnett will host a lively auction.

Menu: BBQ Shrimp Stuffed with Fresh Basil Wrapped in Bacon, Tomato & Fresh Mozzarella Chop Salad, California Rolls, Sashimi, Sushi, Pickled Ginger and Wasabi, Certified Angus Beef Tenderloin accompanied with a Cognac Peppercorn Sauce,  their Famous Lobster Mashed Potatoes served in Mini Martini Glasses, Freshly Prepared Paella, Chicken, Chorizo Sausage, Vegetables Cooked in Saffron Rice, and an Antipasti Station with Marinated & Grilled Sweet Bell Pepper, Zucchini, Mushrooms, and Calamata Olive. Their Dessert Station offers an Elegant Array of Assorted Desserts with Starbucks Coffee along with an Artisanal Cheese Station presenting an Assortment of Domestic Cheeses, Dried Fruits & Nuts, Crackers & Sliced French Bread.
